Newcastle vs Man United: Who picked up FFC’s prestigious MOTM award?

Well folks, you can have no complaints about tonight’s entertainment; a six-goal thriller between Newcastle United and Manchester United¬†at St. James’ Park.

In a match laden with twists, turns, controversial decisions, full-blooded tackles and drama throughout, both sides eventually came away with three goals and one point apiece.

The Red Devils took an early two-goal lead but Newcastle hit back to draw level – only to find themselves a goal down with ten minutes remaining due to an exceptional strike from Wayne Rooney.

The Magpies were forced to dig deep and eventually produced the goods, as left-back Paul Dummett pulled out a stoppage time belter to ensure his club a vital point.

It was such an exciting game – perhaps the most exciting of the 2015/16 Premier League campaign thus far – that we at Football Fancast are struggling to decide upon a Man of the Match.

Luckily, the decision’s not up to us; we opened our MOTM poll around an hour ago and we’re pleased to announce the results are finally in – with the Magpies’ Georiginio Wijnaldum taking the award!

Do you agree with the decision? Should someone else have taken FFC’s prestigious prize? Our poll doesn’t officially close until tomorrow morning, so you can still have your say!
