Neymar-esque Man United target makes huge promise following Man City bid

According to reports from Globo Esporte, Manchester City and Manchester United transfer target Gabriel Jesus has promised to stay with current club Palmeiras until the end of the season.

The prodigious forward is just 19 years of age but has already drawn comparisons with Barcelona star Neymar and is currently the top scorer in the Brazilian top flight with twelve goals.

Accordingly, Gabriel is already attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, with Globo Esporte mooting Real Madrid, Juventus, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Manchester City all as long-term admirers.

In fact, the Citizens are believed to have already tabled a £17.6million bid for the South American sensation – whilst less convincing sources have suggested a rival offer from the Red Devils.

But according to Globo Esporte, the in-demand forward has already promised the Palmeiras board that he won’t leave the club whilst their Serie A championship bid is ongoing – meaning his Premier League suitors will have to wait until the winter window at the earliest to snap up Jesus, when the Brazilian season comes to an end.
