Blaise Matuidi remains a viable Paul Pogba alternative for Manchester United should a deal for the Juventus ace fail to materialise, with the Paris Saint-Germain ace ready to move on according to reports from Le Parisien.
The Red Devils have been heavily aligned with Pogba for much of the past few weeks, but as the saga rumbles on it remains unclear as to whether or not Jose Mourinho will actually get his superstar fourth signing of the window.
Although Man United officials were supposedly in Turin last week to work on a near £100m deal with their Serie A counterparts, Pogba himself is thought to favour Real Madrid, albeit the Spaniards are struggling to compete financially with the Manchester heavyweights.
There is every chance that a deal for the 23-year-old may not go through, and PSG’s Matuidi has already been mooted as an alternative option for Mourinho.
And reports claim that the 29-year-old is ready to leave the Parc des Prince for the right offer, making him a possible ‘Plan B’.
Le Parisien, who moot Man United as suitors, do, however, suggest that Matuidi is likely to play his football in 2016/17 in Paris.
