Pogba criticised on Twitter for poor performance against Liverpool

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba put on a disappointing display against Liverpool, and plenty of fans were quick to point it out.

The midfielder took a few games to settle into life back at Old Trafford following his world-record £89m switch from Juventus in the summer.

He has proved his talent and ability in recent weeks, but in Sunday’s Premier League showdown against rich rivals Liverpool, Pogba failed to impress.

The Frenchman gave a penalty away in the 27th minute at Old Trafford with a handball offence, which meant that United were trailing after half an hour.

Jose Mourinho’s side eventually levelled up when Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his 19th goal of the season to cancel out James Milner’s penalty and earn United a point.

Across the 90 minutes, Pogba missed some scoring opportunities and also struggled in his defensive duties.

While plenty of fans decided to give the midfielder a break, stating that he is allowed to have an off-day, others were critical of the most expensive footballer in the world.

Pogba’s poor performance came three days after he became the first Premier League player to have his own Twitter emoji.
