Manchester United fans seem to be picking sides in the heated ongoing issue between manager José Mourinho and Paul Pogba.

News broke on Tuesday afternoon, only hours before United's Carabao Cup tie with Derby County, that Mourinho had sacked Pogba as the club's vice-captain, saying the Frenchman would never lead the side again.

According to the BBC, Mourinho's decision was based on issues he has with Pogba's attitude. The 25-year-old has been wearing the captain's armband on a couple of occasions this season when club-captain Antonio Valencia wasn't in the team.

Following United's shock defeat to Derby, which Pogba watched from the stands, Mourinho told Sky Sports that there weren't any problems in terms of the relationship between the two and that no bust-ups had taken place.

The club's fans have shown divided opinion since everything that happened on Tuesday, but agree that one of either Mourinho or Pogba should leave, suggesting the toxic relationship is influencing the team negatively.
