Although there was late interest from Real Madrid in the 23-year-old, it seems that Pogba will indeed join Man United, and reports claim that the move could be sealed in the coming hours.

It’s understood that the player and his agent, Mino Raiola, will travel to Manchester before the day is out to put pen to paper on a five-year deal with the club.

Pogba will pocket an estimated €20m (£16.8m)-a-year, making him one of the best paid players on the planet.

The rangy midfielder only left Man United in the summer of 2012 for a meagre £800,000, but his value has swelled following an excellent four years with Juventus.
