Manchester United are on the verge of announcing Paul Pogba’s move to Old Trafford from Juventus, but the transfer being made official is currently on hold as the player himself is still on holiday, according to reports from the Manchester Evening News.
The Red Devils have been aligned with the 23-year-old midfielder for much of the past few weeks.
It’s understood that a deal worth around £100m has been agreed despite late interest from Real Madrid.
And now reports claim that Pogba has undergone a medical while on holiday in America, with an official announcement on hold until he returns from the States.
It’s understood that the player himself decided to re-join Man United a fortnight ago and that all the work behind the scenes to seal the transfer has been done.
However, he is still away on an extended break after representing France at EURO 2016, albeit he is now close to returning for pre-season training.
Pogba left the Manchester heavyweights four years ago as a youngster in an £800,000 deal after failing to make the grade under Sir Alex Ferguson.
