PSV Eindhoven midfielder has urged all interested clubs to make an official move for his signature.
The Dutch international has been attracting attention from a number of top European clubs, including Manchester United, after a string of impressive performances in the Eredivise.
His consistent displays have led to speculation that he could move on this summer, so long as a reasonable fee is put forward for his services.
Strootman, who is a regular in the Dutch national side, has invited a summer battle for his signature, by insisting that all interested parties should make a concrete offer:
“Every transfer window there are clubs that are interested, but a club must speak to me.” He is quoted by talkSPORT via AD.
Strootman has enjoyed a rapid rise to success over the course of the past few seasons, quickly becoming one of his nation’s brightest stars.
An impressive 2010/11 season with boyhood team Sparta Rotterdam tempted Utrecht to move for his signature.
He continued to improve with the midtable outfit, before PSV swooped just six months into his contract with the club.
His performances at the Philips Stadion have seen him force his way into the Dutch national team, whom he has already captained despite his youthful age and the presence of many other senior stars.
