The Red Devils will be hoping a win can push them back into the reckoning for this term’s domestic crown, being currently twelve points behind table-toppers Chelsea, whilst victory today could steer the west Londoners clear of the relegation zone. They’re currently 19th but just three points off Everton – this season’s surprise underachievers – in 12th place.
The last time United played Rangers, it was a 4-0 whitewash at Old Trafford – Louis van Gaal’s first Premier League win as Red devils boss. And in fact, the Carrington club have beaten QPR six times from their last six outings across all competitions, keeping five clean sheets and scoring at least two goals, so there’s no debating who the favourite is this afternoon.
