Real Madrid galactico rubbishes talk of exit

Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale has quashed speculation linking him with a big-money summer move to Premier League giants Manchester United.

The Welsh winger, 25, signed for Real for a world-record fee of £80 million in 2013 and enjoyed a hugely successful debut season at the Bernabeu, lifting the Champions League and the Copa del Rey.

And while talk has circulated that Manchester United are prepared to launch a sensational £120 million bid for Bale, the man himself has flatly dismissed such rumours. Speaking to Dubai TV during Real’s mid-season tour in the Gulf nation, Bale said:

“Go to Manchester United? I am very happy in Madrid, a city, a climate and a club that I love.

“My contract ends in 2019 and I could sign a renewal.

“I am very happy at Madrid and I hope to win many more titles in the future.

Real are currently on their winter break and top the La Liga table with 39 points from 15 games.
