Real Madrid set to offer star new deal to ward off Man United

Real Madrid are considering offering ‘keeper Keylor Navas a new deal in order to ward off interest from Manchester United, report the Daily Express.

The Costa Rican saw his deadline day switch to Old Trafford collapse as a result of the botched attempt to bring David De Gea to Spain.

United recently tied their star Spanish shot stopper down to a new deal, and Los Blancos are said to be following suit with their own player.

The 28-year old is yet to concede a goal during the opening four games of Rafa Benitez’s tenure at the Bernabeu, and is now first choice since the departure of Iker Casillas.

The Madrid icon left the club in the summer after a downturn in form, being shipped off to Portuguese giants FC Porto.

Navas arrived in Madrid following his heroics at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, as well as an outstanding season while minding the net at Levante.
