Revealed: 62% of Manchester United fans want the club to pursue Gareth Bale

A recent poll conducted by Marca revealed that Real Madrid fans consider Gareth Bale to be their worst performing player so far this season.

Los Blancos have made a dreadful start to the new La Liga season and have recently sacked manager Julen Lopetegui. The Spanish giants currently find themselves in 9th place in the league table, already seven points behind leaders Barcelona.

Bale, in Cristiano Ronaldo’s absence, was expected to become the main man at the Bernabeu this season. However, the Welshman has failed to shine for the underperforming club.

Bale’s struggles in Spain could encourage some other clubs to try and tempt Bale away from Madrid in January. Few clubs in Europe could muster the necessary funds to prise Bale away, but Manchester United likely could.

The Red Devils could do with a boost and the arrival of Bale at Old Trafford would certainly give Jose Mourinho’s squad a major lift.

Many United fans would support a sensational January move for the 29-year-old, with 62% of those in our poll voting in favour of a bold move to bring the attacker back to the Premier League. See the full results below.
