Revealed: 66% of Man United fans feel that £43m Boateng asking price is fair

It is not often that Manchester United will be sniffing around a man who failed at neighbours Manchester City but Jerome Boateng’s career has gone to strength to strength since his unsuccessful stint in England.

The German international has endured a tournament of struggle so far at this summer’s World Cup – like many of his teammates – underperforming as Joachim Low’s adventurous tactics have left him exposed at the back.

Nevertheless, United are desperate for a top-class centre half this summer to bolster their hopes of a title bid in the coming season and Bayern Munich have reportedly named their price for a man who has won the World Cup and the Champions League.

That price is £43m, and we asked Man United fans whether that is a reasonable demand for a man at the later stage of his career, and the majority of them believe that it is.
