ESPN recently claimed that Jose Mourinho is considering bringing Zlatan Ibrahimovic back to Manchester United in the January transfer window.

The 37-year-old is currently plying his trade in MLS with LA galaxy, where he has notched 21 goals in just 25 outings. Clearly, despite his age, the veteran Swedish legend is still capable of wreaking havoc against opposition defences.

With Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Marcus Rashford all struggling for form in front of goal this season, the Red Devils could certainly do with some added firepower in January. The addition of such a big personality as Ibrahimovic could also have an uplifting, revitalising effect upon the Old Trafford dressing room.

Even if he were only capable of contributing from the bench, Ibrahimovic could still have an impact in the Premier League this season, and bringing him back to the club would probably be a smart stopgap solution for Mourinho, even if it does fail to address any long term issues.

When we asked United fans if they’d be welcoming of an Ibrahimovic return, 70% voted for bringing the 6’5” superstar back. See the full results below.
