With recent reports claiming Manchester United no longer view Tottenham centre-back Toby Alderweireld as a top target, it has become a little unclear who Jose Mourinho will look to bring in this summer to bolster the largely unconvincing heart of his defence.

But if Mourinho hasn't quite made his mind up yet, Leicester City's Harry Maguire may have just forced his name into the reckoning after an impressive performance on his World Cup debut as England eventually saw off Tunisia 2-1 on Monday.

The 6 foot 4 centre-half started shakily but had greater impact the more the game went on, charging forward into midfield and setting up Harry Kane's stoppage time winner with a flick to the far post at a corner.

Bearing that in mind, we asked Manchester United fans earlier this week whether the Old Trafford outfit should move to sign the 25-year-old this summer - suggesting him as an alternative to Alderweireld through his shared ability to build play from the back.

And according to our poll, a whopping 75% would back a swoop for Maguire, seemingly impressed by his performance against Tunisia. Who would you partner him with at Old Trafford, Red Devils fans? Let us know by commenting below...
