Manchester United right-back and stand-in captain Antonio Valencia has been the subject of criticism from his own fans on Twitter recently because of his displays, and those supporters are already looking at potential right-backs they could sign to replace the 32-year-old Ecuadorian this summer.

Everton defender Seamus Coleman, who has 44 international caps for the Republic of Ireland, has established himself as one of the best in his positions over the course of the last few seasons, and he was in good form as his team beat Newcastle United 1-0 at Goodison Park on Monday night.

The 29-year-old's performance didn't go unnoticed by United fans on Twitter, with one labelling him as a "major upgrade on Valencia", and many others urging their team to sign the right-back up at the end of the campaign.

We asked the fans to vote on our poll about whether they would back a move for the Irishman this summer, but 52% of them said they would be against bringing Coleman to Old Trafford.

Whether that is because he has only recently returned from a serious injury, or whether they simply believe he isn't good enough for the club, remains to be seen.
