Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has remained coy on the notion of signing Paddy McNair from Manchester United this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
The Bhoys chief is understood to have targeted four new players in order to get the Scottish champions ready for the return of arch-rivals Rangers to top flight football.
He has already signed Kolo Toure and Moussa Dembele from Liverpool and Fulham respectively, though the Gers have been mightily active in the market themselves.

‘We are still a long way away from where we want to be but I can’t deny the mental strength of the players,’ said the former Liverpool coach last night.
‘Ideally I would like another four.’
‘I can’t deny or say yes or no that because there have been so many players who have been thrown our way or linked with Celtic’, he said after being asked specifically about McNair.
