Same Old: Mourinho slated on maiden Man United voyage

While Manchester United may be cruising by three goals to nil away at Bournemouth at the time of writing, it’s fair to say the Jose Mourinho era hasn’t kicked off quite as blockbuster as we may have thought.

The signings of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pobga (who, granted, isn’t playing today) were supposed to kick start a new dawn for the Red Devils as they aim to move on from the monotonous Louis van Gaal era.

Though the superstar Swede marked his debut with a stunning finish, United fans from around the world on Twitter are not best pleased by Mourinho’s first outing as manager.

Never the most popular, users have vented their frustration at the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ for not introducing more flair into the side, who kept their passing largely conservative.

It is early days in the Portuguese tenure, but could the willingness to jump on his back after less than 90 minutes into their time together hint at a rather fractured relationship already?
