Evening Standard have claimed Manchester United are considering a fresh bid for Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is currently struggling with a crisis in the middle of the park and a quick fix could be pursued to fill the voids left by Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay, who are sidelined for one month and two months respectively.

But upon seeing this update, many Man United fans were simply fuming that their club is even linked with someone of Longstaff's calibre.

The first reaction, of course, was to slam their owners and Ed Woodward for relegating them to an option such as the Newcastle youngster, who has only ever made 23 Premier League appearances.

Of course, there were people who were simply disgusted with this update, not pointing fingers directly at someone but rather just voicing their incredible disappointment.

Words like "sickening" and "heartbreaking" were thrown around and one fan even declared that the club should be liquidated.

Some fans stated that they would rather give the likes of James Garner a shot in the squad rather than going for Longstaff.

And there were fans who blame it all on Solskjaer and one even stated that their gaffer should be immediately sacked if this transfer goes through.
