Serie A giants readying move for much-maligned LVG man United favourite

Italian heavyweights AC Milan are working on a move for Manchester United utility man Marouane Fellaini, according to reports from Goal.

The Belgian was initially lured to Old Trafford by David Moyes, but has emerged as a favourite of current manager Louis van Gaal, who has used him as an auxiliary striker on a number of occasions during his reign in the North West.

Despite the Dutchman’s fondness of the giant, curly-haired star, a number of United’s fans have been less than convinced by his abilities thus far, and have often ridiculed him.

And reports from Goal, via Corriere della Sera, claim that their wish for him to leave the club may be granted this month, with Milan eager to take him to Serie A.

United value Fellaini at £14.8m, a figure that the San Siro side are willing to match.

Milan are currently sixth in the Italian top tier and are a far cry from the side that dominated European football through the late 1990s and early 2000s.
