Criticism has been directed Luke Shaw’s way by Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho on a handful of occasions this season.
The latest of which came after the Red Devils’ 3-1 victory over Swansea City in the Premier League, in which the left-back – as well as defender Chris Smalling – opted out of involvement due to fitness concerns.
Mourinho appeared to question Shaw’s bravery and commitment, despite the fact that the 21-year-old spent just under a year on the sidelines after breaking his leg in two places.
The United boss told reporters…
“We have players with problems but we have on the pitch players with problems.
“To compete you have to go to the limits. It’s a cultural thing for some. That is not my culture.”
Earlier in the season, Shaw heard some choice words from Mourinho following his display against Watford, with the Portuguese coach once again seeming to question the left-back’s bravery.
It appears as though Shaw has responded to his manager’s latest criticism by proving that he is working hard behind the scenes to get himself to maximum fitness.
The former Southampton player, who is sitting out of England duty during the international break, took to his social media accounts to upload a video of himself doing gym work…
