Manchester United fans have taken to Twitter to slam the Glazers, after David Conn of The Guardian revealed that they have withdrawn more than £1bn of the club's money since 2005.

In stark contrast, since 2008, Manchester City have had £1.3bn invested into them by Sheikh Mansour of Abu Dhabi, which goes a long way to explaining the disparity in the two clubs' fortunes right now.

United fans seem to hate their club's board, and specifically Ed Woodward after years of ineptitude at the top level has seen them fall away from the top teams in England since Sir Alex Ferguson's departure.

In this day and age, when your rival owners are pumping such significant funds into their respective teams, you simply cannot withdraw that amount of money; the United fans have every right to be annoyed at their owners.
