Manchester United are about to get their Champions League campaign underway with a visit to reigning Swiss champions, Young Boys.
The Red Devils will be expecting to record a victory over their opponents and Jose Mourinho may see this fixture as an opportunity to rotate his squad and offer minutes to those who are currently not so involved in the Premier League.
Marcus Rashford is set to make his first start for United since the opening match of the season, as reported by The Mirror. Alexis Sanchez is thought to be the one most likely to make way for the England international.
It is currently far less clear whether or not Anthony Martial is also in contention for inclusion. The Frenchman has only made one start so far this season and being selected in the first XI for the Young Boys clash would be a great opportunity for the 22-year-old to get back up to speed and stake a claim for greater future involvement.
Martial’s talent is obvious and his Transfermarkt valuation of £58.5 million is evidence of this. As things stand, he is being criminally underused at Old Trafford.
What do you think, United fans – Should Martial start against Young Boys or do others deserve to retain their place ahead of him?
