The hotshot is yet to feature for the Mestalla outfit’s first team at just 14 years of age but is widely regarded as one of world football’s most exciting youth players.
Indeed, a host of clubs are reportedly targeting the Turkish prodigy, including Juventus, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Premier League side Arsenal.
But one of the Gunners’ divisional rivals appear to be leading the race for Cogalan’s signature in the form of Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.
It’s claimed the midfielder, who bagged 22 goals and 30 assists last season, and his father flew into Manchester to hold talks with the Red Devils at their Carrington training complex last week.
However, the youngster’s father – Sedat Cogalan – has insisted Ferhat is in no rush to make a decision on his future because his Valencia contract doesn’t expire for another six years.
As quoted by The Daily Mail, he said; “We’re in no hurry because Ferhat is in contract with Valencia until 2021. But when a club like Manchester United invites us, it is logical that we study the proposal, right?”
