The FIVE ‘super transfers’ to get Manchester United back on track

The January transfer window looks set to be an incredibly busy one for Manchester United.

David Moyes failed to assert his authority in the transfer market during the off-season, securing just a single senior signing in the form of ex-Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini. Efforts on the pitch haven’t gone much better for Sir Alex Ferguson’s successor either, as the Red Devils sit in ninth place in the Premier League table.

As a result, the Scot is expected to try and turn things around in the winter transfer window via of a marquee signing, as he and new United chief executive Ed Woodward make a lot of noise about preparing to spend freely and lavishly after Christmas.

With that in mind, here’s FIVE stellar signings the Red Devils could snap up to help steady the ship at Old Trafford.
