On Sunday evening, Manchester United fell to a shock 3-2 defeat at the hands of an inspired Brighton and Hove Albion side.

The Red Devils, despite the close scoreline, were utterly outplayed by the home side at the Amex Stadium, and the Seagulls’ fully deserved their famous victory.

A Paul Pogba penalty in the fifth minute of stoppage time proved too little too late as Jose Mourinho’s men slumped to a surprise loss. 

None on the United side were able to impress as Chris Hughton’s well-drilled outfit dominated the play for long periods of the match. Questions must now be asked of Mourinho’s ability to coax a title challenge out of this expensively assembled squad.

Many United fans are certainly of the opinion that the Portguese’s time in the Old Trafford dugout must now be brought to a close. #MourinhoOut gained traction on Twitter after the final whistle.
