These Manchester United supporters want Benjamin Pavard after World Cup goal

Some Manchester United supporters are interested in signing France defender Benjamin Pavard after he helped his country defeat Argentina in the World Cup on Saturday afternoon.

Pavard scored what was arguably the goal of the tournament so far, smashing a sweet volleyed strike into the top corner that had curve and spin on it.

In the context of the game, the goal equalised things at 2-2 shortly after Argentina had taken the lead, giving France the platform to go on and win the match 4-3 thanks to a double from Kylian Mbappe.

Pavard plays his club football at Bundesliga side Stuttgart and although he plays at right-back for the French, he is predominately a centre-back for the German club.

United supporters though seem keen to see him signed for the right flank, believing he could add much needed competition to Antonio Valencia.
