Barcelona midfielder Thiago Alcantara says he is paying little attention to the reports he is a transfer target of Manchester United.
The 22-year-old has found himself on the fringes of the first team at the Nou Camp this season and has subsequently been linked with a move away from the La Liga champions.
Manchester United and Arsenal are both reportedly interested in Thiago, with the Red Devils lining him up as a replacement for Paul Scholes.
A buyout clause in the Spain international’s contract has reportedly dropped from €90million to €18million this year after he failed to play in at least 30 minutes in 60 per cent of Barca’s matches this season.
Thiago is remaining calm on his future, though, and doesn’t plan to look at his club career until after next month’s Under-21 European Championships.
“I just live my life and I am very happy,” he told reporters.
“I enjoy it in Barcelona because I have lived through some great times but we will see what happens after the Euros.
“Any player is used to living with rumours about him and they just cannot affect you.”
Premier League champions United have also been linked with Thiago’s team mate Cesc Fabregas in the Spanish media, the former Arsenal man having reportedly grown frustrated with his lack of first team chances.
