Manchester United picked up their eighth victory consecutive victory across all competitions on Saturday with a comprehensive 4-0 thrashing of visitors Reading.

The Red Devils are now fighting on four fronts; the Premier League, League Cup, Europa League and FA Cup and Mourinho's impact is starting to bear fruit, with United beginning to look like the force everyone knows they can be.

Mourinho named a heavily rotated side in the Reading win and it was those stars who gave them victory. It's not just a core of United players now performing; the whole squad is full of confidence and ready to step up when required.

Tuesday night sees United play the first leg of a massive EFL Cup semi-final against Hull City, again at Old Trafford. A big win will surely see them through to Wembley and give them the chance to win the first silverware of the Mourinho era.

These are the THREE Manchester United stars that we think should stay in the team to provide cup success two games in a row...

Marcus Rashford ended a 17 game goal drought to score a double against Reading and put the bow on top of the Man United performance in the second half.

The teenager looks in deadly form, also starring in last week's trip to West Ham from the bench. He deserves the chance again to show what he can do in the semi-final, as his pace, trickery and final ball can punish any team.

Mourinho rewards good performances and another nod of approval could do wonders for his confidence, which is obviously beneficial to the entire United team.

Anthony Martial

Anthony Martial has scored four goals and provided an assist across his last six appearances for Manchester United.

The French forward gave the Red Devils the 2-0 cushion against Reading and was a thorn in the Royals' side for the entire 90 minutes.

He deserves a start against Hull not just because of that but also because he's a big part of why they're in the semi-final - his double contributed to the 4-1 victory over West Ham United in the last round.

Is he the man to fire them to a Wembley final?

Wayne Rooney

Wayne Rooney equalled Sir Bobby Charlton's Manchester United goalscoring record against Reading, scoring his 249th goal for the Red Devils.

A start against Hull on Tuesday will give him the chance to make history and become, in his own right, the greatest goalscorer the club has ever seen.

That's a massive source of motivation for the England forward and despite rumours of his demise as a top level player, he will no doubt bag it soon.

Rooney has won ten major honours with United and at 31 doesn't have loads of years left before his career comes to an end. He'll be desperate to add to the trophy haul and send United back to Wembley.
