The festive period is always a very busy time of year for the Premier League, which also means Fantasy Premier League players have a lot to think about in such a short space of time.

We have three different game weeks in just two weeks, with just a few hours separating two of them, so it's important your FPL team is finely tuned in order to return good FPL points totals throughout.

Studying which clubs have the easiest fixtures over this period is key, and Man United can be considered as one of those clubs who have three of the most winnable games between Boxing Day and early January.

Despite only sitting in 6th, Jose Mourinho's side are currently on an eight game unbeaten streak in the league and appear to be hitting their stride following a stop-start beginning to the 16/17 campaign.

The infographic below looks at three players who are going in to the festive fixtures in top form and therefore well worth considering getting in your team before the game week 18 deadline on Boxing Day morning.

Phil Jones is first up and may come as a surprise to some, but the defender has been a mainstay in Man United's defence since returning from injury and they have remained unbeaten since Mourinho brought him back in to the side.

Jones has picked up 18 FPL points from his last three outings and at just £4.8m, he represents an interesting differential option for your defence. United have some attractive fixtures over the next couple of weeks too, with home games against Sunderland and Middlesbrough followed by a trip to West Ham's London Stadium.

With United improving with every passing game week, you have to expect them to remain unbeaten over the course of those games, as well as keep at least one or two clean sheets, which makes Jones a good option to return FPL points in defence.

Paul Pogba took some time to get going this season but he is now beginning to show why Man United forked out a world record transfer fee for him in the summer with a number of important displays recently.

The Frenchman notched a goal and an assist in United's 2-1 win over Crystal Palace recently and he will be the focal point of United's attacking threat against Sunderland, Middlesbrough and West Ham over the next couple of weeks.

In terms of value, Pogba is currently returning 7.1 FPL points per £1m spent on him, which just goes to show that he's a player well worth considering an £8.3m outlay on this week.

And finally, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the obvious pick for any FPL player. He is one of the most owned players on the game but that's not a surprise given the impact he has had so far in his maiden Premier League campaign. He has 11 goals and two assists so far and has also notched an impressive 18 additional bonus FPL points since the beginning of the campaign.

With five goals in his last five appearances going in to this festive period, Zlatan will be expected to continue his rich vein of form against three clubs currently competing in the lower half of the table.

Despite his expensive price tag of £11.4m, the Swede is returning 8.4 FPL points per £1m spent on him and, more impressively, is pulling in an average of 5.9 FPL points per 90 minutes played. He's well worth the big outlay, particularly when you look at Man United's upcoming fixtures.
