Here's here and hasn't he made sure we know it.

Football fans have been waiting years to see Zlatan grace the turf of the Premier League and he hasn't got of to the worst of starts either, scoring the winner in the Community Shield final before dispatching a long-range effort in United's 3-1 win over Bournemouth.

He's come to win medals and add to his never-ending collection of silverware and there is real optimism at Old Trafford for the first time in years.

Optimism that the likes of Mourinho, Ibrahimovic and the rest of the new signings can provide the performances the supporters want to see.

And even on the basis of his first few senior appearances, it's clear that Ibrahimovic has the ability to be a real influence on proceedings this campaign.

So with that in mind, here's THREE reasons why Zlatan could shine for Manchester United this season...

He's as experienced as they come

Trophies in Italy? Check. Trophies in Spain? Check. You get the idea- wherever Zlatan goes, trophies and silverware follow.

It's this winning mentality and experience that really has the potential to transform the Manchester United squad into Premier League winners once again. Mentality is a big thing in football and in Zlatan, United have a true leader and someone that won't take second place.

It all bottles down to what he's achieved already in his career. He knows how it feels to lift domestic trophies season-after-season and in him, United have a teacher.

Age is just a number

At 34, you'd expect certain professionals to start slowing down and coming to the end of their careers. But Zlatan is arguably the biggest exception going and he shows absolutely no signs of slowing down.

He's movement, aerial ability and hunger are as good as ever and even against Bournemouth, his goal reflected everything we've come to appreciate about his game.

Teams will line up differently to contain him

United are capable of beating any team on their day anyway but there is little doubt certain rivals will lineup differently to try and contain the Swede, which will only work in his favour.

If teams try to target and bully him, expect United to switch things up, or for Zlatan to take matters into his own hands. He's dealt with teams trying to do this all his career and he battles through.

It's a real positive for United.
