Tottenham ace ‘expected’ to leave with Man United interested

Manchester United are keeping tabs on Spurs’ Hugo Lloris with the Frenchman’s desire to leave White Hart Lane well known at the club, according to reports from Metro.

The France international has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League since his 2012 move to north London from Lyon, but has been unable to help his side to Champions League qualification.

Reports suggest that playing in Europe’s top club competition in the stopper’s aim, and that players in the Spurs dressing room know that he has his eye on a move to achieve that goal.

United currently have David de Gea between the sticks, but with the Spaniard being eyed by Real Madrid while his contract situation rumbles on, the Red Devils are lining up Lloris is a possible replacement.

Barring a monumental late season collapse, Louis van Gaal’s side will be able to offer the 28-year-old Champions League action.
