Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson was seen having lunch with Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, according to reports from the Mirror.
The former Red Devils manager and Pochettino were dining at Scott’s Restaurant in London, which has fuelled speculation that Ferguson is trying to tempt the Spurs manager to become the new Man United gaffer next season.
Current United chief Louis van Gaal has been heavily linked with an exit for much of the campaign, after fans and critics blasted his ‘boring’ style of football and underwhelming results.
However, Pochettino has also been named after the Argentine guided the Lilywhites to an unlikely title challenge, being the only team able to keep up with champions Leicester City.
Spurs will face Newcastle United in their final game of the English top flight this weekend.
