Chris Smalling went and scored a goal against Burnley after six minutes despite starting the game on the bench. The England international was introduced for Phil Jones, who went down injured in the early stages.
Smalling sent a looping header back across goal to both the rapture of both those in the Old Trafford stands and around the internet in general:

However, Manchester United’s lead didn’t last long as Danny Ings soon grabbed one back for the visitors. The England striker has now managed nine goals in 22 Premier League games, an incredible record for a young striker in his first season in the top flight.
