Following an attempted burglary in January on his family home, Di Maria’s wife is believed to be unhappy with life in Manchester. As interest in the player from French side Paris Saint-Germain continues, the 27-year-old may look to relocate his family to France, bringing his United career to an end after just one season.
However, United boss Louis van Gaal still regards Di Maria as an key part of his first-team squad, and is believed to be reluctant to sell the player he signed for a British transfer record fee of £59.7 million last summer. The Dutchman will only entertain the possibility of offloading the winger if he formally submits a transfer request.
United have been busy in the transfer window so far, signing no fewer than four new players.
