Radamel Falcao’s goal against Leicester will go some way to answer the Columbian’s critics who’ve become increasingly vocal in recent weeks. Falcao’s strike put his side 2-0 up, after fellow striker Robin van Persie had put Man United into the lead via an assist from Daley Blind.
Radamel Falcao has made a slow impact at Manchester United this season, with many already writing off the Columbian’s move as a failure. After the striker was left out of United’s defeat to Southampton, many drew the conclusion that his time in Manchester was basically up.
However, such comments would appear a tad premature, as Falcao started and scored again today for Louis van Gaal’s side. £43.5m on a 28-year-old striker may still be a push, but if the Columbian can stay fit and gain some sort of momentum as the season closes, the argument around Falcao may start to take a very different tone indeed.
