West Ham plot shock Man United raid, Mourinho willing on one condition

West Ham United are ready to make a shock loan move for Manchester United defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson this summer, according to the Sun.

Slaven Bilic’s pre-season preparations were rocked by the news that defender Aaron Cresswell would be out for up to four months with knee ligament injury.

With the former Ipswich Town defender ruled out, the Hammers are a little light in the left-back berth and are said to have cast keen eyes over the Old Trafford ace.

Despite emerging as a solid youngster under the stewardship of Louis van Gaal last term, new manager Jose Mourinho is thought to have made the 19-year old available for loan.

While the Red Devils are believed to be open to the idea of allowing him to find first-team football elsewhere, they are reportedly seeking assurances over playing time for their burgeoning talent.

Former teammate Ashley Fletcher has already made the move to East London from Manchester, with Bilic noted for his penchant in developing young players.
