Manchester United fans on Twitter have been busy discussing what to do with Timothy Fosu-Mensah when he returns back from his season-long loan spell with Fulham.
The Holland international joined the Cottagers back in the summer, but has failed to impress yet again whilst out on loan – his temporary stint with Crystal Palace last season was also underwhelming.

Both the Eagles and the Cottagers have used the 21-year-old at right-back, which most United fans will tell you isn’t his best position.
Fosu-Mensah impressed at Old Trafford under Louis van Gaal in a defensive-midfield role, and some fans are keen to see the former Ajax man return to the club and be used in the same position.
However, others aren’t too sure if Fosu-Mensah is of the quality required to play for the club under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer right now, and have taken to Twitter to share their views on a topic that has split the fanbase…
If fosu mensah comes back to Man Utd I hope we don’t play him full back that’s not his position anyone who watched his youths days know he’s a top top midfielder think it was LVG who brought him at full back. Says it all about Utd everything back to front unbalanced

TFM is a midfielder.
I think he will excel in that role.

He’s overrated by United Fans. He can’t cut it for Fulham or Crystal Palace so how on earth is he going to make it at United. The game against city showed he can’t compete at the top level.

We need quality. not players like Fosu Mensah

Garner > Fosu-Mensah
Timbo was one of my faves coming through but his time is up. Couldn’t do it at Palace and can’t at Fulham either. Out of position? Yes. But the qualities we thought he had aren’t there to see. Balance, passing, pace, calmness on the ball.. he’s the opposite.
