Manchester United fans have taken to Twitter to bemoan the sale of Daley Blind, who starred for Ajax in their phenomenal run to the Champions League semi-finals.
The Dutch international was signed by Louis van Gaal from Ajax back in 2014 for a fee of £13.8m, and won four trophies during his time at Old Trafford – Blind started the 2016 FA Cup final success and the Europa League victory over his old side.
Will OGS still be in charge of Man Utd come next May? The Flying Pig discusses in the video below…
Back in the summer, however, the 29-year-old was sold by Jose Mourinho after struggling for playing time under the Portuguese boss – Blind returned to Ajax for almost the exact same price they sold him: £14m.
He has looked cool and composed alongside Matthijs de Ligt as Ajax remain on course for a domestic double, and having watched his impressive performances in Europe this season, many United fans have questioned why the club sold Blind in the first place – to make matters worse, the Red Devils kept the likes of Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo!
Let’s see what the United supporters have been saying on Twitter…
Criminal we sold Daley Blind and kept Phil Jones

Love Daley – he got so much abuse when he was at United he had to turn off comments on his Instagram – sometimes you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone! ?
