Manchester United fans on Twitter aren’t happy with reports linking them with a move for Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak.
Whilst you would expect the Red Devils fanbase to be happy with the news, seeing as Oblak is arguably one of the best keepers in world football, the majority of them are seemingly not in favour of a move as it will use up funds needed for more problematic areas.
The Flying Pig unleashes fury on Dea Gea, Young, Sanchez and Pogba in the funniest player ratings ever in the video below…
United are struggling to renew David de Gea’s contract, as the Spaniard wants to be earning the same amount as the club’s highest paid player, Alexis Sanchez – the Chilean takes home £350,000-a-week before bonuses.
The ongoing discussions seem to be affecting his form on the pitch as well. De Gea has made a number of errors in recent weeks, most recently when he spilled Antonio Rudiger’s shot and allowed Marcos Alonso to prod home in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea.
Also, United have a great No.2 in Sergio Romero, and have a fantastic young keeper in Dean Henderson waiting in the wings; the 21-year-old has enjoyed an excellent season with Sheffield United, helping them earn promotion to the Premier League.
As a result of this, lots of United fans on Twitter don’t want another goalkeeper, especially when other areas of the team are desperately in need of reinforcement…
Rather keep De gea and spend that money on defenders

Misplaced priorities again. Goalkeeper is the last position we need to strengthen even if De Gea leaves.

We have the world’s best No.2 in Sergio and Dean Henderson was just nominated as POTS at the blades so i dont see the need 2 buy Oblak we have much more problems in other areas

Is Sergio Romero ever gonna get a chance at this club? If DDG leaves have faith in Romero and get a solid defense

Give Henderson a chance, rather spend the money on couple of decent CB, a RB, 2 CM, a RW and a striker

Very disrespectful to de gea….. Why not keep him and spend that money on defenders… Da whole of this season alisson has made 67 saves…. De gea has made 109 saves…difference in defense.. Bring in oblak n put him behind Smalling n Jones… What’s the sense in that

No thanks. We have Romero, we can cash in on De Gea and upgrade positions than needs instant upgrade. Goalkeeping has never been our issue, we need to improve RB, CB, DM, RW, ST, and one more CAM. With De Gea, we could improve at least one or two positions.

That’s incredibly stupid. Even if De Gea isn’t playing as well, Romero is still an international keeper and I’m sure De Gea can get back to his best he’s still young for a keeper. It would be pointless to spend that much on a keeper when we could use it on the defence.

What could we seriously hope to get for DDG. If the club is serious about rebuilding then there is no point replacing DDG. Oblack will want big bucks so lets pay DDG what he is asking and focus on other areas of the team.

The worst scenario, romero is fine. We can spend that money for fullbacks and centrebacks
— A Man Has No Name (@wajic_) April 29, 2019
Rather spend the money on other positions even if we lose De Gea. We have got Romero who is a great GK.
