Adel Taarabt was handed a surprise start by Queens Park Rangers manager Chris Ramsey for their trip to Crystal Palace today in the Premier League.
Taarabt had been left out in the cold by his previous manager Harry Redknapp but it seems that Ramsey is will to give the enigmatic playmaker a chance. That, or he just likes a gamble.

And who can blame him for taking a risk? With his team still in the relegation zone and three points from safety, Ramsey needs to try something different if he’s to keep this QPR side in the Premier League.
However, the stats don’t bode well for the temporary manager as his side have won just six of their 34 Premier League London derbies away from home and have lost the last five in a row.
Alan Pardew will be feeling the more confident man having already won more Premier League games as Crystal Palace manager – four from eight – than Neil Warnock – three from 16 – despite managing half as many games.
Wright-Phillips & Taarabt both starting for QPR? Forgot they were even at the club!
