Most Likely Arsenal January Signings

Usually in January, Arsenal are trailing the Premier League leaders in the top four and don’t do much to mount a serious title (or European Cup) challenge, as the cliche’ goes Arsene Wenger is quite happy to be near a Champions League qualifying spot.

However, this season they aren’t trailing the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, or Manchester United, but the Gunners are in fact on top of the table after one game played in January.

This gives Wenger a real chance at re-winning the title this time around, 12 years after he won the English crown with the ‘Invincibles’ side back in 2004.

However, despite the much poorer displays from their close opponents this term, Arsenal must spend in the January transfer market to help them to the league trophy.

Many fans were left disappointed by Wenger after he signed no outfield players last summer with only the addition of Petr Cech to show for, but with the high number of injuries in the squad, it is likely that the Frenchman will bring in some new faces.
