Napoli striker Edinson Cavani has revealed that he would consider a move to either Chelsea or Manchester City.
The Premier League duo have been heavily linked with the Uruguayan hot-shot of late, and speculation suggests that they are plotting summer swoops.
Cavani is also the subject of interest from a number of other top European clubs, but admitted that linking up with Jose Mourinho at Chelsea, or Manuel Pellegrini – who is set to be named as Manchester City’s new boss – would be tempting.
“The Special One? It would be a pleasure to be managed by someone like him,” he is quoted by The Express.
“Chelsea? I don’t know if they’ve made an offer for me but I know that working for a coach like Pellegrini or Mourinho would be a great pleasure.
“It would certainly be a great honour to join one of the illustrious teams that are looking at me because I dreamed about doing that as a child.”
Chelsea are thought to be leading the chase, with Napoli boss Rafael Benitez said to be keen to take Fernando Torres to the San Paolo as part of any deal for Cavani.
However, City are also in the race, with the club’s hierarchy willing to spend big in order to reclaim their Premier League title.
Cavani notched 29 goals last season, making him one of the most sought after forwards in Europe.
