Nathan Dyer’s Luckiest PL title winners XI

Today, Swansea City winger Nathan Dyer celebrates his birthday – many happy returns Nathan, from us at FootballFanCast.

But now 29 years of age, it seems unlikely the Englishman’s career will ever eclipse the accomplishments of last season, when he unexpectedly lifted the Premier League title to claim just his second major trophy at senior level after a League Cup with the Swans in 2013.

And safe to say, the circumstances surrounding Dyer’s Premier League winner’s medal are rather fortunate.

Indeed, he moved to Leicester City on a season-long loan in summer 2015 as the Foxes anticipated another relegation battle and Swansea assumed they’d be back in the hunt for European qualification.

Dyer went on to make twelve top flight appearances for the Foxes, all from the bench, but will forever be remembered as part of their history-defying, miraculous squad.

So to celebrate Dyer’s 29th birthday, FootballFanCast have created a select XI in his honour, composed exclusively of the Premier League’s luckiest ever title winners.

They may have plied their trade with Premier League champions, both past and present, but all eleven are incredibly fortunate to have a winner’s medal (or several) in their trophy cabinet for a variety of reasons.
