Andy Carroll will not be returning to Newcastle this summer and boss Alan Pardew will look elsewhere for a new striker.
Magpies boss Alan Pardew has put another striker at the top of his wanted list and there had been suggestions that he could make another attempt to bring Carroll back to St James’ Park.
Pardew failed with an attempt to re-sign the striker on the cheap during the January transfer window but according to reports he has now ended his interest in the player.
Carroll looks certain to leave Liverpool in the close season and West Ham are keen to sign him on a permanent basis after he impressed while on loan at Upton Park.
Newcastle have struggled in attack after losing star striker Demba Ba to Chelsea and failed bids to sign Loic Remy and Luuk de Jong did not help matters.
The search for a new striker is on but it seems as though Carroll will not be returning to the club.
