Bolasie’s directness down the flanks could vastly improve Newcastle United’s attack

Newcastle United should keep close tabs on Everton winger Yannick Bolasie following The Mirror‘s claim that he could be available for £15m.

What’s the word?

Rafael Benitez is once again being frustrated in the transfer window as Newcastle club owner Mike Ashley is yet to release significant funds.

The North-East outfit have been linked to numerous talent, but so far they have had to settle for loans and free transfers.

A problem that the Magpies have had for some time is the lack of threat down the flanks, but they could potentially solve this problem with a move for Bolasie.

The Mirror claims that Everton value the 29-year-old at £15m, which in today’s market is very affordable, but it is a different story where Newcastle are concerned.

What would Bolasie bring?

If the cash is there for a move, then the Magpies could potentially be getting a player that will add freshness and zest to the wide areas.

The Congo international, who is valued at £16.2m by Transfermarkt, has plenty of pace and confidence.

Bolasie will take players on in the final third, and could produce service to Newcastle’s forward stars.

With Kenedy at the club once again on loan, the Brazilian is likely going to occupy the left side, but Bolasie can play on the right.

In fact, the attack-minded star is also capable of playing up front if necessary.
