Newcastle loanee Adam Armstrong has continued his fine form for League One leaders Blackburn Rovers, scoring his fifth goal in as many games on Saturday.

The young Englishman progressed through the youth setup at St. James’ but has been unable to break into the first team, finding himself loaned out to Coventry, Barnsley, Bolton and now Blackburn.

His stint at Blackburn has started to yield fantastic success in the last month or so, as he followed up his player of the month achievement with another goal on Saturday.

Armstrong was awarded the Blackburn player of the month award for February, after grabbing four goals and providing two assists to help push Rovers to five points clear at the top of League One.

The 21 year-old striker, valued at £1.35million by Transfermarkt, scored just six minutes into the top of the table clash with Wigan at Ewood Park on Saturday, although the visitors fought back to earn a 2-2 draw.

If Armstrong keeps up his incredible goalscoring run, Newcastle fans will surely start to wonder what he has to do to earn a chance at St. James’ Park, especially given the Magpies’ lack of consistent goalscorers.

So, Newcastle fans, do you think Armstrong deserves a chance in the first team next season? Let us know by voting below...
