Newcastle have already been linked with a whole host of attackers this summer, but would the return of a familiar face be best?

Rafael Benitez is desperate to add more attacking firepower to his side this summer, and with the Magpies already linked to countless wingers and strikers, it would be no surprise to see them splash out mega money on a forward player.

One of the most tenable transfer rumours so far is the link to Jack Grealish, who is almost certain to leave Aston Villa this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, the Villans need to “plug a £45m black hole to avoid Financial Fair Play sanctions”, and the 22 year-old midfielder is their most sellable asset.

The Mail report does not mention the Magpies in connection with Grealish, who was Villa’s standout performer in their playoff run, but the feisty young Englishman would certainly be a good fit on Tyneside.

When the Magpies announced the permanent signing of Martin Dubravka this week, fans all called for popular loan signing Kenedy to be next, but which winger would fans prefer?

Both youngsters are 22, have a big sting in their tail, and love getting the crowd off their seats with dazzling forward runs. Grealish has played more centrally for Villa this season, but his excellent dribbling and work rate would make him a perfect fit on the wing in Rafael Benitez’s favoured 4-2-3-1 formation.

The Englishman is probably the more experienced, polished product, but Kenedy already has a special connection with the fans on Tyneside.

The price difference is what should push the Magpies towards the Brazilian though, as reports suggest the Villa youngster could go for as much as £40m this summer.
