Manchester United own-goal merchant Phil Jones is set to be out of contract at Old Trafford in the summer, and there has been no news as of yet regarding whether or not the Premier League giants will extend his deal.
The 26-year-old was tipped for big things when he joined the Red Devils from Blackburn back in 2011 for around £17m, and looked likely to fulfil his potential under Sir Alex Ferguson.
Since the Scotsman's departure, however, Jones hasn't been the same commanding presence that he once was, and has been the source of mockery for many fans as a result of the faces he pulls and his comical own-goals.
He has made just three Premier League starts this season and doesn't appear to have a future in Manchester, so perhaps he should start looking for a new club.
In that respect, maybe Newcastle should take the England international on the cheap and cash in on Jamaal Lascelles - it definitely sounds tempting if your name is Mike Ashley.
