The Magpies boss also moved quickly to quash rumours that the club had received an offer from anyone for the French international.
“Like all our players there is a value for Yohan,” he said.
“Obviously he’s a player I want to keep and there has been no bid so far.”
Newcastle are undoubtedly keen to keep their best players after a disappointing domestic campaign last season. Pardew is more than aware of the hostility that accompanied his arrival on Tyneside and is under pressure to deliver more success than last season.
The Frenchman slipped slightly off the radar last season after signing for Newcastle in a bargain £4million deal from Lille in 2011. Yet his stellar performances the previous year and at Euro 2012 mean he still has many admirers in the Premier League and further afar.
Manchester United have been linked with Cabaye as an alternative to their pursuits of Thiago Alcantara, Cesc Fabregas and Marouane Fellaini. Super-rich French champions Paris Saint Germain also have him on their radar as well as newly promoted Monaco who have also benefited from Arab investment.
